Nueva entrevista a Connie Talbot

When Connie was only six, she showed us her singing ability on Britains’s Got Talent’s stage. Now she is 15, has just released her new album herself, and is telling us a lot about herself. Let’s get to know her better!

Family

My family is very loving and caring, we are always there for each other and support each other in happy and sad times. I have and older brother Joshua, he’s 23 and about to get married to his fiancée Heidi. My older sister Mollie, now 21.

I live with my mom and dad. My brother and sister have moved out now into their own homes but we all live very close to each other and i see them most days. We go to the cinema together and go out for meals most weeks. My sister often takes me shopping on weekends. We go on lots of holidays together and are always having a laugh and joke together.

School

I go to a comprehensive (school) a few miles aways from where i live. Now i’m in year 10, the 4th year of secondary school. My favorite subject has to be music but i really enjoy english literatura, chemistry, physics and business studies.

Free time

I spend my free time with my friend Jorgie or go out with Mollie, or spend time with Josh and Heidi. We often go out for meals, play badminton and tennis at the gym with Josh and Heidi and go out shopping with Mollie.

Hobbies

I like singing because when i was younger i used to sing to make people happy. I have grown up singing and couldn’t imagine my life without it. I sing all the time even when i don’t realize i’m doing it. Besides singing, i like to do sports like netball and rounders. I like doing this because i enjoy keeping fit and playing competitively (specially if i win), but must of all because i like to be part of a team.

Favorite singers and songs

This is a very hard question for me. It’s too hard for me to pick just one singer. But my top singers have to be Adele, Beyoncé, Whitney Houston, Barbara Streisand. To me, these artists are superstars in the world of music.

My fave Beyonce’s is “Irreplaceable” because to me is a timeless song, my fave Adele’s song is “When we were young” because i love the vibe of the song, my fave Whitney’s song is “I have nothing” i love “Somewhere” by Barbara Streisand because is a powerful and endearing song.

Future

I would really love to be a Singer/songwriter but i know the music industry is a difficult business and sometimes things don’t always plan out the way you hope. I would like to be a Singer/songwriter because it is my dream to do a job i love. I don't have any other dreams but i have made sure i have a good education to fall back on in case my dream of being a Singer/songwriter doesn't work out.

Cuando Connie tenía sólo seis años, nos mostró su habilidad para cantar en el escenario de Britains Got Talent. Ahora tiene 15 años, ella misma acaba de lanzar su nuevo disco , y ​​nos dice mucho sobre sí misma. ¡Vamos a conocerla mejor!

Familia

Mi familia es muy cariñosa y atenta, siempre estamos allí los unos para los otros y nos apoyamos mutuamente en los momentos felices y tristes. Tengo un hermano mayor Joshua, tiene 23 años y está a punto de casarse con su novia Heidi. Mi hermana mayor Mollie, ahora tiene 21 años.

Escuela

Voy a una escuela integral a pocas millas del domicilio donde vivo. Ahora estoy en el año 10, el cuarto año de la escuela secundaria. Mi asignatura favorita es música, pero me gusta mucho la literatura inglesa, química, física y ciencias empresariales.


Tiempo libre

Paso mi tiempo libre con mi amiga Jorgie o salgo con Mollie, o paso tiempo con Josh y Heidi. A menudo salimos a comer, juego al bádminton y tenis en el gimnasio con Josh y Heidi y salgo de compras con Mollie.


Aficiones

Me gusta cantar porque cuando era más joven solía cantar para hacer feliz a la gente. He crecido cantando y no puedo imaginar mi vida sin eso. Canto todo el tiempo, incluso cuando no me doy cuenta de que lo estoy haciendo. Además de cantar, me gusta hacer deportes como el Netball y Rounders. Me gusta hacer deporte porque disfruto manteniéndome en forma y me  gusta jugar de forma competitiva (especialmente si gano), pero sobre todo porque me gusta ser parte de un equipo.

Cantantes y Canciones favoritas

Esta es una pregunta muy difícil para mí. Es muy difícil para mí escoger sólo un cantante. Pero mis mejores cantantes tienen que ser Adele, Beyoncé, Whitney Houston, Barbara Streisand. Para mí, estas artistas son superestrellas en el mundo de la música.
Mi canción favorita de Beyoncé es "irreplaceable" porque para mí es una canción atemporal, mi canción favorita de Adele es "When we were young" porque me encanta el ambiente de la canción, mi canción favorita de Whitney es "I have nothing" Me encanta "Somewhere" de Barbara Streisand porque es una canción potente y entrañable.

Futuro

Me encantaría ser  cantante/compositora, pero sé que la industria de la música es un negocio difícil y a veces las cosas no siempre salen de la manera que se espera. Me gustaría ser una cantante/compositora porque es mi sueño hacer un trabajo que amo. No tengo ningún otro sueño, pero me he asegurado de tener una buena educación para recurrir en caso de que mi sueño de ser cantante/compositora no funcione.
