Como hacer los PNG con transparencia en Gimp

Hola, es la primera vez que hago un tutorial , espero explicarme bien, cualquier duda pregunten y responderé tan pronto pueda :)
Hello, this is the first time i make a tutorial, i hope to explain well, any question just ask and i will respond as soon as i can :) sorry the pictures are in spanish but i hope it help you anyway :)

Abre el editor, se llama Gimp (yo uso una versión portable)
Open the editor called Gimp (i use a portable version)

Ahora ve a Archivo -----> Abrir; escoje tu imagen y ponle "abrir"

Now go to File -----> Open; choose the picture and click "open"

Una vez abierta tu imagen ve a la pestaña Capas ----> Transparencia ----> añadir canal alfa

Once you have opened your image go to the tab Layers ----> Tranparency ----> add alpha channel

utiliza la herramienta de "selección libre" y dibuja el borde de la imagen, utiliza el zoom para que tengas más precisión. sigue el borde tal y como muestro en la siguiente imagen.

choose "the free selection tool" and draw the outline of the image, use the zoom to have more precision. close the selection as i show in the picture below and.

Cuando hayas cerrado la selección "tal  y como viste en la imagen" presiona "suprimir" en tu teclado y te debe quedar así, ahora sólo selecciona el pedacito que quedó visible para que todo el fondo sea transparente

When you have closed the selection "as you saw in the picture" press "delete" on your keyboard and it should look like this, now just select the bit that remained visible to get all the background transparent

Ahora ve a Archivo ----> Guardar Como y te saldrá una ventanita, elige la carpeta en la que desees guardar tu imagen y cambia el ".jpg" por ".png" Después haz click en Guardar en todas las ventanas que salgan.

Now go to File ----> Save As, and a window will open, select the folder where you want to save your image and change. "jpg" by. "png" Then click Save in all windows that will appear.

Y listo!!!

And that's all!!!
